Event Management Schemes

VIAE has been involved in significant local and national events where requested to provide traffic management services in order to help facilitate the smooth operation of these events which include Etape Hibernia (Closed Road Cycle Race, Co Clare) and the Tall Ships Event (Waterford & Dublin).

The Etape Hibernia involved the staged closure and opening of over 240 roads, along a 130km route, to provide a clear route for over 1500 cyclists while minimising disruption to general traffic. 5,000 cones, over 400 signs and over 1 km of pedestrian barriers were required to facilitate this event.
